Competence partners

At the KPA fairs, there are not only highlights from the plastics processing sector to be discovered at the exhibitor stands. Our competence partners will present a programme of specialist lectures tailored to the needs of trade visitors at the heart of the trade fair and support the trade fair as multipliers.

SKZ – Das Kunststoff-Zentrum

SKZ-Kunststoff-Zentrum has been a pioneer in the plastics industry since 1961. As the largest plastics institute in Europe, SKZ is the address in the fields of product testing, damage assessment, research and development – from materials, production processes and component properties to the evaluation of processes and products from an economic and ecological perspective – as well as in the area of training and further education for specialists and managers within the plastics industry. The wide range of services is rounded off by management certification activities. SKZ is part of the ZUSE community. The supporting organisation FSKZ e.V. with its more than 400 members, consisting of numerous successful companies in the plastics industry and related sectors, forms the foundation of SKZ.

Kunststoff-Institut Südwest

We have been your partner for all aspects of plastics processing for over 30 years. With locations in Lüdenscheid and Villingen-Schwenningen, we have more than 100 experts at your disposal who can provide you with practical support from material selection, research and component testing to on-site process engineering support. The topics range from damage analysis and sustainable materials to the coating of injection moulds.

Kunststoff-Netzwerk Franken

The Franconian Plastics Network is a platform for the plastics industry for the exchange of information. We bring experts together in demand-orientated working groups and at specialist events and offer the opportunity for cross-company communication, professional exchange and the development of personal relationship networks. All of our events and activities are aimed to strengthen companies and their performance and therefore improve their competitiveness. The close contact between plastics processors, mould makers and suppliers results in innovative solutions found together.

Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V - Region Ulm-Alb

Founded in 1954, the Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V. (BME) is a leading professional association and network partner for procurement, supply chain and logistics managers in Germany and Europe. It covers a range of 9,750 members – from individual companies to SMEs and corporations – from all industries and sectors. With more than 200 members, the BME Ulm-Alb region is a network platform for procurement managers, experienced buyers and logistics experts as well as young professionals. With its on-site academy, BME Ulm-Alb offers its members further training programmes. Events and company tours complete the annual programme.

Institut für Kunststoff- und Entwicklungstechnik – IKET

The Institute for Plastics and Development Technology – IKET – has been carrying out knowledge and technology transfer activities at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart Campus Horb for more than 25 years. IKET focusses on medium-sized companies and start-ups in the field of plastics technology. Our main areas of activity are: Consultancy, services, plastics testing, seminars and events relating to plastics and mould technology. For years, IKET has been the organiser of the Horber Tool Day and the Additive Manufacturing Day.

INNONET Kunststoff

The main objective of INNONET Kunststoff is to work together to strengthen our regional companies and the high-performance plastics industry. We offer bundled expertise and access to a comprehensive pool of cooperation and development partners. Our initiative includes joint trade fair appearances, regular workshops and events to deepen knowledge. We also rely on effective publicity marketing to present the industry in the best possible light. Our goals range from lobbying to promoting young talent and building close relationships with political decision-makers, associations and networks. We help small and medium-sized companies to develop research capacities and promote co-operation between research, development and industry.

TecPart e.V. - Verband Technische Kunststoff-Produkte e.V.

TecPart – Verband Technische Kunststoff-Produkte e.V. – represents the interests of manufacturers of technical plastic products in public, in politics and in national and European committees. TecPart members are highly specialised experts in compounding, plastics recycling, injection moulding technology, thermoforming, additive manufacturing and other plastics processing methods. They develop, design and produce technical plastic parts and the associated manufacturing tools. We have customers in the automotive, electrical, mechanical engineering and medical technology sectors. Together we represent a growth industry with a future.

VDID - Verband Deutscher Industrie Designer e.V.

VDID is an important platform for female industry designers that promotes a lively exchange and cooperation. Bringing together the diverse competences and experiences of our members, VDID supports collegial exchange at regional and national level and cooperates closely with state ministries. The association offers orientation, highlights the impact of design and promotes the individual and general development of female industrial designers through counselling, coaching and a strong network.
